The NORTIS GPNVG 18Pro is a new technology
The NORTIS GPNVG 18Pro is a new technology Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggles. The purpose of the NORTIS GPNVG 18Pro is to provide the operator with more information under the glasses, allowing him to move faster through the OODA loop (Observe, Orientate, Decide, Act). The most striking feature of the NORTIS GPNVG 18Pro is the presence of four separate image intensifier tubes with four separate objective lenses arranged in a panoramic orientation. The middle two lenses point forward like traditional twin-tube goggles, giving the operator more depth perception, while the other two tubes point slightly outward from the center to increase peripheral vision. Two tubes on the right and two on the left are connected in the eyepieces. The operator sees that the two center tubes overlap somewhat with the two outer tubes, creating an unprecedented 120° FOV. Two right and two left tubes are housed in fused assemblies and suspended from the bridge, providing operators with interpupillary adjustment options. They can also be easily removed and operated as independent handheld browsers. The IPD of the two systems can be adjusted on the helmet mount.

The NORTIS GPNVG 18Pro is powered not only by the battery on the device, but also by an external battery module that is connected to the unit via a standard DC cable. Comes with the package, can hold up to four 3 volt CR123A batteries, which tend to power the unit for 50-80 hours (IR off). The external battery module provides a secondary function as a counterweight, which is necessary due to the weight of the glasses of about 880 g.
